With reference to the earlier announcement dated August 29, 2008, regarding Book Closure i.e. from September 25, 2008 to September 30, 2008 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company, Tamilnadu Telecommunications Ltd has now informed BSE that the said Book Closure is Annual Book Closure instead for Annual General Meeting, as the Company have obtained extension of time for holding its Annual General Meeting for 3 months i.e. upto December 2008 from the Registrar of Companies

Surana Telecom New Buy Back Offer

The number of Shares to be bought back would depend upon the average price paid for the Shares bought back and the amount deployed in the Buyback.

The maximum offer price of Rs 50/- per share has been arrived after considering the stock market quotations, book value, return on net-worth and the possible impact of the buy-back on the earnings per share of the Company. The maximum buyback price of Rs 50/- per share offers a premium of approximately 35.5% over the closing price on April 21, 2008 at BSE a day prior to the date of board meeting for approving the buyback offer).
